Few days ago Oracle accepted my Oracle ACE Director nomination! In this short post I would like to thank the people that actively supported the nomination.
Special thanks go to Yury Velikanov. When during the last Oracle OpenWorld in San Francisco he discovered I was not part of the Oracle ACE program, he decided to fix it. But to make it happen, he had to find several members of the Oracle ACE program or Oracle employees being ready to endorse my nomination. For that purpose he wrote this tweet and contacted several people to ask whether they were ready to help. In two weeks he managed to find more than two dozen of additional persons that backed my nomination. He wrote the nomination form and, one three weeks after sending it, Oracle announced to me that it was accepted. In summary, without Yury, today I would not be an Oracle ACE Director.
Great thanks go to all the persons that supported my nomination. I would like to name each of them in this post, but, without their explicit permission, I retain myself of doing it. Honestly, I don’t know whether everyone would be happy to be mentioned on this post. Anyway, you know who you are and, again, thank you very much.
For the records, my Oracle ACE Director profile is available here.
